Opinions from the Slovaks
Do you know anyone with hepatitis?
Do you think hepatitis will ever become an epidemic in your country?
Why do you think that treatment for hepatitis is expensive for many people?
Do you think treatment for the disease should become cheaper?
The insurance companies want to make a high profit
The material for the treatment, like drugs, have a high cost
There aren't a lot of people of the disease, relatively, so the demand isn't high
This questionnaire is filled in by 35 people from Slovakia. About 2/3 of these people know someone with hepatitis and think that it will become an epidemic in their country. From this, a very rough conclusion can be made. This is that hepatitis is a more serious issue among people than among people in the Netherlands and in Denmark.
